Find The DreamSearch deep within your heart, deep into the darkness where faded dreams are kept. Don't give up; the one you are looking for is there somewhere. When you find it, hiding in a corner weeping at lost years, don't leave it there; it's scared and hates the darkness. Lift it gently into the light and watch it transform into a brighter wiser dream than it once was.
You see the darkness taught it the wisdom of why it fell to where all faded dreams go
Writing Intimate RelationshipsA while back, I wrote an essay called How to Write a Romance. In the essay, I outlined what I think makes a good romantic story. Whether you agree with my main viewpoints or not, I think the point that everyone can agree upon is this: writing a believable romance is tricky. 
Want to know what's even trickier to write well? Relationships. But, I can hear some of you cry, aren't romance and relationships the same thing? The answer, my lovelies, is no. Romance describes the pleasurable feelings one experiences when in love; specifically, emotions over libido is what counts in romance. Relationships are the interpersonal connections that bind people together; a relationship can be shared  by relatives, lovers, friends, sex partners, and the list goes on ad infitum.

When fragile hopes and fears collide
It waits for you on the other side

I can feel the tremors in my soul
I've grown afraid of the masquerade.
Barely holding on, I'm losing control
Wide awake, I confide in the shade.

Sinking so slowly down the drain
Much like the purple pill I swallow.
A voice unheard is a voice in vane
Black rain falls and teardrop's follow.

Shadows loom throughout the room
They cover my eyes like a veil.
Just flip the switch, it'll be over soon
Just pull the curtain over the pale.

The transition rattles my psyche at first
Yet it's a feeling I've always invited.
For when my body becomes submersed
I discover
EmilieEmilie sits upon the shelf
A pretty doll in a shop
She sits and waits for her time to come
Until her loneliness stops

She waits and waits, full of false hope
That someone will come take her home
But when all the other dolls have been bought
She wonders why she's still alone

She spends her time thinking about
Her imaginary faults
Assuming that she's ugly because
Why else has she not been sold?

And to this day, she's wanted to say
Why am I the only doll that's still here?
She's fed up of loneliness, fed up of waiting
For something she once had that disappeared

Emilie sits upon the shelf
A pretty doll in a shop
She sits and wai
I am only happy when I cry.I am only happy when I cry.
I can only smile through the tears.
I can only laugh between shaky breaths.
I can only dance in the rain.

Trust too much and fall too hard.
Take everything to heart.
Knives, swords,
Sometimes even in my back.

I put on a mask for everyone who looks.
A mask of a happy, bubbly girl
Without a care in the world.
The mask comes off when my door closes.

My dam bursts when the mask comes off.
My smile comes out when my tears stain my cheeks.
I laugh for real when I taste salt.
I am only happy when I cry.

I've been living off pain for a few years now.
It's sick and twisted.
I never cried.
Not even at funerals.

Quite a wonderful work. The whipers that you have discussed really do have their impact and the imagery and expressions merge well together with the rhyming to produce a serene work. It especially reads well aloud and I really enjoyed the ending... other than the ending rhyme of finishing the work with begin... it felt sort of forced.
